a little about me

Hi! I’m Kathryn, aka a caffeinated painter. My “real” job is as an English teacher, and like so many of us, I got a little stir-crazy stuck at home during the covid pandemic. Once I’d read every book in the house, I ordered some cheap paint and canvas from Amazon and got to experimenting. I’d always been a doodler, but after watching some videos online, I began experimenting with different acrylic pour style techniques. While this was fun, and created some awesome pieces, it wasn’t where I saw myself focusing long term.

Over the better half of the last decade, I have experimented with just about every art style and technique I could get my hands in. Clay joined the chat. Watercolor. Alcohol markers. I learned how to convert my art into stickers. I discovered my love of capturing dog’s faces and the human form. And through lots of twists and turns, trials and errors, I ended up here. While my path to get here was anything but unpredictable, there are a few things I can be sure of when it comes to shopping with me. Your pieces will always be entirely handmade and handcrafted. Nothing will every be mass-produced. Your earrings will always be lightweight and nickel-free, and your paintings will always have a little piece of my heart.
